Frequently Asked Questions

Providing some answers to questions people have about Christianity

The gospel is the good news that solves the Bad news. The Bad news is that God the perfect creator, created man to fellowship with him, enjoy him, and glorify him. But the first man Adam violated God by committing cosmic treason against him. Through his rebellion, sin entered the world along with all of the curses that comes with it. Adam’s sin nature was passed down to all of us. This means that by nature we are enemies of God, separated from God and awaiting judgment from him. That’s bad news.

The good news is good because it solves the bad news.  God loves the world and he sent his Son Jesus, into the world to reconcile all that was lost at the fall. Jesus, in obedience to God the Fathers will,  humbled himself by adding to his divine nature a human nature in order to be a new representative that could replace Adam. Unlike Adam, Jesus lived a sinless life. He walked in perfect fellowship and obedience to God. He obeyed God all the way to the cross where God handed him over to sinful men who would crucify him.  On the cross Jesus became a sacrificial substitute for fallen man. He bore the wrath of God for all of those sons of Adam who would believe in him. he died their death, was buried in their grave and on the third day rose again victorious over sin death and the devil. God now commands all people. People from every nation tribe and tongue, to obey this gospel by repenting of sin and trusting in Jesus alone for salvation.

Gods Plan For Salvation

Recognize that you are a sinner who needs to have their sins cleansed by Jesus

  • John 3:16 - Jesus, the Lamb Of God, took your place as a sacrifice on the cross and His innocent blood was shed, a final payment for sins penalty.
  • Romans 3:23 - All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
  • Romans 6:23a - For the wages of sin is death

Be willing to have a change of mind & heart and repent of your sins

  • Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord

Pray to Jesus. Trust in Him for the price he paid for your sins. Repent of your sins.

  • Romans 6:23b - but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • Romans 10:9-13 - that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Turn from your way of living and thinking. Trust in God's promise and sacrifice of Jesus. Take the free gift of salvation accepting the sacrifice of Jesus to save you from the price of your sins.

  • Romans 5:1 - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
  • Romans 8:1 - Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed away and all things become new
  • 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Rest assured that your salvation is assured in Christ

  • Romans 8:38-39 - For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
